Colors match FiveM's built-in chat. Custom chat resources can apply their own palette, and the server browser shows ^ codes in sv_hostname slightly differently.

Each segment starts with its color code, then any style codes, for example ^1^*Alert ^r^7details. A ^r is added wherever the previous segment was styled, so bold or underline never spills into the next part.

FAQ

FiveM chat colors, explained

How do FiveM chat colors work?+

FiveM uses a simple color system built on the caret character. Placing ^ followed by a digit 0-9 changes the color of every character that comes after it, until the next code appears. Build your message here segment by segment, and this tool writes the codes for you.

What are the ^ color codes?+

In FiveM's built-in chat the codes are: ^0 white, ^1 red (#FF4444), ^2 green (#99CC00), ^3 yellow (#FFBB33), ^4 blue (#0099CC), ^5 light blue (#33B5E5), ^6 purple (#AA66CC), ^7 white, ^8 dark red (#CC0000) and ^9 raspberry (#CC0068). You can also write ^# followed by a hex color, such as ^#FF00FF, for any color at all.

Can I make chat text bold or underlined?+

Yes. ^* makes the text after it bold, ^_ underlines it, ^~ strikes it through and ^= does both underline and strikethrough. These styles carry on until ^r, which resets them. Tick Bold, Underline or Strike on a segment and the tool adds the codes and the resets for you.

Where can I use these?+

They work in FiveM's default chat and in chat messages scripts send through it. Custom chat resources and notification scripts often support ^ codes too, but may use their own colors or ignore the style codes. The server browser draws ^ codes in sv_hostname with its own palette, so a color can look slightly different there.

Is it free?+

Yes. This generator is completely free, needs no login or account, and runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded anywhere.
